Toddler Program

The ages in our Toddler Room start at about eighteen months and go up to about age two and a half. These children have developed longer attention spans and are ready to progress with their learning, working on the skills they will need to succeed in our Preschool Program (Pre-K). Reports on your child's day and progress are sent home at the end of each day.

daily activities

Children in this room begin to make art using Play-Doh, painting and coloring, as well as some glue and paste. Children listen to and make music in the music station. They begin to learn songs, rhymes and games. We begin teaching color and shape recognition. Story time is longer, with a wide selection of books from which they can choose. We provide dramatic play toys. (All toys are washed on a regular basis.) We encourage appropriate motor skill development, both large and small, at each level of development. Children also enjoy regular outside time where they utilize a variety of toys and equipment to improve their motor skills. Toddlers have a separate playground.

eating

We provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. Toddlers eat as a group in the dining area. We serve a variety of foods that have been "kid tested" and "kid approved."

Sample weekly menu.
